Royals
Royals A personal series that I’ve been working on for a few months. I’ve been inspired by the style of Norman Rockwell and how he would paint “White-bread” Americana work. I wanted to do that for my community as well. Royals is about black people being stripped of everything (royal roots, family connection, etc.) and having to recreate our culture. This series focuses on love, community, and rebirth.
